Before I went to Freddie's Auto Service in Poway, I tried to install my driver side visor in my Camry. For some reason I couldn't get it to work just right. I went to the Toyota dealership in Poway to ask if they could do it and they said $56 dollars just for the install, CRAZY RIGHT I already had the part. Anyways the next day I went to Freddie's Domestic & Import Auto Service and ask them if they could help me and they came outside without any hesitation, put it in without any trouble and sent me on my way. And they DIDN'T even charge me a penny. These guys are AWESOME. I definitely recommend them to everyone. THANKS GUYS

By far the best auto shop around! I know that I'm getting a good fair deal here. Been going here since my parents moved to poway, about 27 years of consistent service and honest advice. I love Freddie's Auto shop because they treat their customer like family and they are ALWAYS honest and fair on pricing. I can never go anywhere else because of how good they do it at Freddie's. The customer service here is amazing! I came in to have my car checked for a multiple of reasons & requested to have my oil change regardless of the outcome of what needed to be done to it. These guys really look out for their customers best interest. Felt like I was hearing from a relative/good friend on what I should do with my car. Very happy with the quality of service I got with Freddie and the guys at his shop. I recently had to bring in my Mercedes C55 last minute to get the motor and transmission mounts replaced after I suddenly started getting a lot of vibration at stoplights. Freddie was able to get my car in the next day and have the whole thing done by the end of the day (and motor mounts and transmission mounts are a very laborious job). I do a lot of my own car maintenance, and I can tell that these guys do a very thorough job. Freddie is a really friendly and polite guy and is completely upfront and honest with you with exactly what your car needs and always gives you a call before any post-diagnostic work is done. As a car guy, I also know the importance of using only quality OEM parts, which is what Freddie does. He only orders OEM parts to be used for repairs, which is incredibly important. I highly recommend bringing your car here if you are in need of any maintenance, you are treated very well.

Freddie and Mike are always honest with you about what car needs. I recently had water pump break that had been installed by them 6 months back. But they put it under warranty and installed whole new timing belt kit free of charge. They do quality work here and always look out for your best interests.

Any time a mechanic tells me what he can't do, I appreciate the honesty and transparency. Freddy could have told me he could and did do it but I felt, as another reviewer wrote, that Freddy looked out for my best interests. Pricing was fair, the work was quick, and the communication was excellent. I liked the subsequent mechanic I went to but I won't hesitate to return my 19-year-old minivan, Goldie, to Freddy's. Likewise I will confidently recommend Freddy's to friends and neighbors.

What a great shop! I stopped by after hours with a check engine light on and they were still there, and they read the codes, even though they were closed. Then they were honest enough to tell me the problem was probably best handled by the dealer. I've had them do work for me before and they were great.

One of the best choices you can make in Poway area for automotive repair service - he services three of my cars. Freddie is honest and prices work fairly and reasonably. They are a small shop so you'll need an appointment. For specialty work that he doesn't perform, Freddie can usually make a referral to other good mechanics. If you bring your car here, I doubt you'll be disappointed.
